The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ Open Day will be held on 9 June 2024 at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ Headquarters in Geneva. It is the 6th open day since the creation of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ's historic building and to take part in a range of other activities to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Organization.

Programme and information brochureCouncil Room — 10:00
The opening ceremony will be held in the Council Room, the major meeting room used by °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ members. Opening addresses will be delivered by:
- Ngozi-Okonjo-Iweala, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ Director-General
- Petter Ølberg, Ambassador of Norway to the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ and Chair of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ General Council
- Erwin Bollinger, Ambassador of Switzerland to the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ.
- Nathalie Fontanet, President of the State Council
- Marie Barbey-Chappuis, Administrative Council, City of Geneva
Visitors will have the chance to discover the rich history of the Centre William Rappard, the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ's headquarters, and learn about the variety of artworks donated by governments and other institutions.
°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ staff will act as tour guides, with tours taking place at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00. The tours will be available in English, French and Spanish, the three official languages of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ. Each tour lasts for about 45 minutes.
Room W
Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be an interpreter at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ? Come and try it out in Room W, one of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ's largest meeting rooms, at 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00.
Room W
Visitors can ask °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ staff any trade and °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ-related question during 30-minute sessions in Room W. The sessions are held at 11:15, 13:15 and 15:15.
Atrium
Photos showing how the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ building has evolved since its creation in 1926 will be on display in the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ Atrium. Historic pictures of the signing of the Marrakesh Agreement establishing the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ in 1994 will also be displayed.
Activities for our younger visitors include face painting, storytelling and a bouncy castle on the lakeside lawn.
National food and drink provided by members of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ will be available throughout the day on the lakeside terrace.
Room B
A selection of videos on the work of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø×ÊÁÏ will be on display in Room B throughout the day.
