Trade can create prosperity for all of Africa's people by increasing opportunities for incomes. But it must be inclusive. And inclusive, from the African perspective, goes beyond targeting vulnerable groups. It requires addressing the fundamental enablers - so as to lay a platform off which all that are willing can try their hand at entrepreneurial activity. It requires investment in productive capacities - infrastructure, finance, energy, skills, laws, regulations.
What can Africa do to make trade inclusive?
This session seeks to crack the puzzle of how to bring to fruition the development promise of the multilateral trading system: that trade can promote global prosperity for all.
